Welcome to Keys Conference!

I would like to start off by welcoming each and everyone of you to this year’s Keys Conference. We have been out of the training world for sometime. This was mainly due to the effects of Covid-19 on our budget. With that said, being a non-profit organization we aspire to be responsible with our resources. We continue to strive to offer the best educational experience in the state. The Keys Conference in essence is the embodiment of education and training in the field of corrections and probation. The conference is designed to facilitate California’s Standard and Training for Corrections’ (STC) mandate of 24 hours of training each year. Instructors are chosen throughout the state of California for their extensive knowledge and experience in the field of Law enforcement. At the same time, the conference is more than just training; it is a celebration of the hard work, dedication and brotherhood we all share. We share an overwhelming understanding that it takes a very special individual to work in a profession that is both dangerous and thankless at the same time. Equally important, the Keys Conference is a construct of collective ideas that come through the opportunity of networking. At no other time and place will you find the wide range of agencies joined together that share a common purpose and desire to succeed. By sharing ideas through networking we can predict future trends, solve problems, but most importantly, gain a broader understanding of what it takes to survive in our chosen occupation. With this in mind, please stay safe and have a wonderful time at this year’s Keys Conference.

Sincerely, Sergeant (ret.) Vince Monreal & Lieutenant (ret.) Tina Day CCA President
